Wreck of Barque "Eblana" - On receipt of the intelligence a representative of the 'Telegraph' called at D. COSTIGAN's boarding home and there found six of the crew who willingly imparted the information regarding the wreck and sad loss of life. The following is a list of survivors and where they belong: John SLADE, 3rd mate, lived in Carleton; Daniel CANNING, Galway, Ireland; Samuel TAYLOR, Scotland; John NICHOLSON, Sweden; John ELLIS, Germany; Wm WILSON, Liverpool; Joseph FLAVIN, St. John. The last named lives with his aunt on Mill Street and was so benumbed that he was unable to give any particulars of the affair.
