Rev. Thos Todd of Woodstock, for many years pastor of the Moncton Baptist Church writes to the 'Christian Visitor' as follows: The following impressive letter was written sometime previous to the death of the late Oliver C. JONES, jr. and found in the trunk of the deceased a few days after the death of the writer by his brother, Dr. JONES, and forwarded to the sorrowing parents at Moncton. The deceased died at Des Moines, Iowa on 1st June. (see original for latter dated Jan. 14, 1883 Des Moines) - The subject of this letter received religion in Moncton during the revival there of 1876. I shall never forget the evening that his father, Deacon O. JONES led his two sons, George JONES and Oliver JONES, with a number of others, forward to the Baptist font. (see original)
