SMITH, the man supposed to have struck the death blow, prisoner and another were in company at the house of Mrs. HAY on the Marsh Road where deceased and a woman named Ellen MACDONALD came in to get drink. The man and woman left and walked down the road. They were afterwards followed by the three men and the next fact was the death of Tatton.
