Apohaqui (Kings Co.) July 12 - James GIBBON, postmaster at Collina, in company with Jacob KIERSTEAD of the same place, was returning home at a late hour Saturday night and while descending a hill his horse stumbled, precipitating both men to the ground and causing the instant death of Mr. Gibbon whose neck was broken by the fall. He was 57 years of age and leaves a wife and four daughters.
