Edmunston (Madawaska Co.) May 20 - On afternoon 19th, Vital PICARD, age 20, while laboring under a fit od temporary insanity escaped from his friends and threw himself into the river, some four miles above here and was drowned, there being no canoes near at hand. The body was not recovered. He was the son of Francis PICARD of this place.
