Canterbury Station (York Co.) Feb. 17 - Since the winter began scarcely a family has escaped la grippe. John DOW, quite an aged man, fell victim to its ravages. Death also visited the home of George ENGLISH and removed his much beloved wife. She was a d/o Wm JAMIESON and out of a family of 14 children, the youngest of whom is 24 years of age, this is the first death that has occurred. She leaves a husband and six children. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. Manaton. Scarcely had the community recovered from this shock when it was called upon to mourn the death of another beloved wife and mother, Mrs. Geo. MILLER, the youngest d/o late Thos. WEBERLEY. She was young and in the fullvigor of life. She left a husband, an aged mother, eight brothers and sisters and four small children. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. Warneford.
