The Chatham 'Advance' says that the little P.E.I. schooner "Spy" has now been three weeks out from Alberton bound for Chatham and has neither arrived here or been heard of elsewhere since she rounde the North Cape on 17th ult. It was on that day she left Alberton loaded with oats and having on board, as captain, Jas. BRENNAN of Tignish and George BARRETT and Fred HAMPTON of Alberton, P.E.I. as crew. They are no doubt drowned. Capt. Brennan was a brother of the owner, John BRENNAN of Alberton, who also owned the cargo of oats. Neither vessel nor cargo were insured.
