As there is a belief that George W. MOFFATT, the blind man, met a mysterious death in Maine, Chief of Police Clark instituted enquiries concerning his wheraboouts with the following results. Geo. W. Moffatt was seen by Charles Watson at Hartland ten days ago. He said he would leave for Munroe, a town in Maine, where an exhibition was going on, remain a few days there and then proceed to Exeter the last of the week. He then said he would go to some place in Canada - the man could not remember the name - in order to have his wagon repaired. (see original)
