The funeral of Mr. BERRY, head gardener at Government House took place from his residence at 2 o'clock. The remains were taken to St. Dunstan's Church where burial obsequis were performed by Rev. Carl Pricelius, after which they were taken to the new Catholic Cemetery at the Hermitage. Among those present was the Lt. Gov. The pall bearers were J.H. REID, John OWENS, Owen SHARKEY, J. BEBBINGTON, A. ANDERSON and J.E. PERKS. After the funeral, the Lt. Gv. repaired to the residence of the late gardener and gave his son, John BERRY, charge of the duties which his father had so faithfully attended to, allowing him the same salary as his father had been receiving.
