A fire occurred Monday 12th in New York in Messrs Simpson, Crawford & Simpson's dry good store which was entirely destroyed. Several salesmen attempted to save the valuable goods and Henry PORTER, formerly of St. John, N.B. and noe buyer of dress goods for Messrs Simpson was seriuosly burned about the face and hands.
