The 5 o'clock western bound train halted Xmas night at Baie Verte Station (West. Co.) amid showers of rice and confusion and uproar. The occasion was the departure of a happy bridal party consisting of bride and groom formerly Miss Maud GOODWIN and Payson ATKINSON, both of Baie Verte, attendants Dr. Fred GOODWIN of Halifax, the bride's brother and Dr. Gordon ATKINSON, St. Stephen, brother of the groom. The ceremony had been performed by Rev. W.B. Thomas at the residence of the bride's father 2 o'clock.
