Bessie W. SHAW w/o E.W. SHAW, Mars Hill, Maine, departed this life June 13th, 1891, age 54 years. Mrs. Shaw was the daughter of the late William McCLINTOCK and was born at White's Cove (Queens Co.) N.B. While only a child she moved to Centreville (Carleton Co.) In 1853 she was united in marriage to E.W. SHAW of that place and soon afterwards moved to Mars Hill, Me. where, with the exception of a short period, she lived until her death. In 1854 she became a christian. For 37 years she adorned her profession. After a year's suffering from internal cancer, Mrs. Shaw passed over, leaving a husband, five daughters, three sons, two sisters and one brother, Geo. E. McCLINTOCK of Centreville. The services were attended by Rev. Charlton of Knoxford.
