In the early part of last week, John BRENNAN who resides on the Forkson Cain's River, a branch of the S.W. Miramichi, met with a sad accident which will most likely prove fatal. He was engaged in hauling logs from the river with a yoke of oxen, when the animals ran against him, knocked him down, hauling the log across his body, in which position he lay about half an hour before receiving any assistance. Mr. BRENNAN is nearly 70 years of age, and recovery is scarcely possible. Dr. J.S. Bedson is attending the aged sufferer. - Union Advocate.
