Isaac TOWER of Portland (St. John) received a letter from a friend at Grand Lake (Queens Co.) confirming the findings of the bodies of Wm H. TOWER and Wm ELLIOTT in an open boat Thursday last. Tower was in his 70th year. At one time he kept a livery stable and a boot and shoe store in Fredericton and for a period he resided with his son, Isaac, in Portland. He was in the habit of taking a drink of liquor occasionally. The same, we are informed, is true of Elliott, who was a brother-in-law of Tower. Tower has a daughter, the wife of Dr. MORGAN, residing in California. Elliot had only one child. She is a young woman. (see original)
