Capt. Thomas REID of Boone Bay, Nfld., commander of schr. "Abby Alice" was washed overboard and lost during the gale of 7th. The mate was also washed over but carried back to the deck and saved. The vessel was bound from Boone Bay to Halifax and put into North Sydney on the 10th. - 'Chronicle'
