The Safe Horror - The foundation of a vault in the Wiggins lot, off Canterbury St. (St. John) had given way on Saturday forenoon and the vault fell where several persons were engaged in cleaning brick. Charles DAY, a young son of George DAY of Indiantown presented a horrible appearance when taken out. He was removed to Public Hospital but died in the afternoon. The body of James SPINLOW, age 32, unmarried, belonging to New York was found. It was removed to the Dead House. Spinlow had a brother boarding at Parker House, Charlotte St. The deceased came here only a few weeks ago and sooner than be idle went to work with Mr. Smith at brick clearing. The dead body of Alex. GILLIS of Indiantown, leaving a widowed mother, was next taken from the ruins. (see original)
