George Franklin HIBBARD of Charlotte, son of Hon. Francis HIBBARD was born at St. George in 1848. He received his education at the Charlotte Co. grammar school and is now senior partner of the firm George F. Hibbard & Bro., general traders of St. George. He has been a member of the Municipal Council. In April 1878 he was married to Julia E. BREED, Charlestown, Mass. He was first elected in 1882 as a supporter of Mr. Blair and has since held his seat. An independent in Dominion politics and a Baptist in religion.
