Campbellton (Rest. Co.) June 28 - The remains of Daniel DESMOND, late proprietor of the Revere House here, were taken to Chatham by the morning's Quebec express for burial. The services took place in the Roman Catholic Church at 8 o'clock, Bishop Rogers officiating. The pall bearers were A. AUDET, James WALL, Joseph AHEARN, T.W. HENRY, J. Alp. LaCASSE and George VERMETTE, members of the Catholic Order of Foresters. Daniel Desmond, who was in his 49th year, was born near the Botanic gardens, Ireland and came to this country when quite young with his parents who settled at Chatham on the Miramichi, where the deceased later engaged in ship building with his elder brother, James DESMOND. Some eight years ago he took possession of his residence, the Revere House. Deceased leaves a widow.
