Richibucto (Kent Co.) Feb. 2 - A terrible and fatal accident happened yesterday to an 18 year old child of Robert LENNOX, a farmer residing a short distance above Kingston. The child was sitting in front of an open stove in a room where a number of children were playing, while Mrs. Lennox had gone down cellar for a few minutes in the performance of household duties. Attracted by screams, she returned to find the child enveloped in flames. The fire was smothered as soon as possible, but too late to prevent its deadly flames having entered its mouth and burned internally. The fire is supposed to have originated from a spark falling on its clothing.
