The funeral of late James Starr TRUEMAN, prof. of classics at Slleghany College, Meadowville, Pa., took place at Amherst, N.S. Monday afternoon. The remains were accompanied by deceased's wife. They were joined in St. John by his brother-in-law, Mr. TAIT, Mr. Calkin of Kentville and George Jones, Moncton, who accampanied them to Amherst. On arrival they were immediately conveyed to the residence of his brother-in-law, E.L. BLACK. After the service at the house in which Revs. D. McGregor and Jas. Strothard and D.A. Steele took part, the remains were taken to the Highland Cemetery. The pall bearers were Prof. Borden and Smith of Mount Allison, John McKEEN, J.A. DAVIS, Wycliffe ROGERS and Sherman ROGERS. The deceased died of bronchial catarrah.
