Many people of St. John will learn with regret of the death of Richard Wright GASS which occurred Friday at Denver, Colorado. Mr. Gass, who was a former resident of Hampton (Kings Co.) was widely known here. He was a son of the late Thomas GASS and while in business was connected with the firm of Cruikshank, Gass. & Co., Liverpool, England. Having fallen a victim of consumption, he went to Salt Lake City three years ago where he found the climate beneficial and for a time seemed greatly improved in health. Failing again he went about three years ago to Denver to try the Koch remedy. Mr. Gass leaves a wife, daughter of the late Judge OTTY of Hampton and three small children. He was only 36 years of age.
