On Friday eve. March 7th, Presbyterians of Studholm Springfield and Johnston met togther at the residence of David McLEAN, Long Creek (Queens Co.) to give a reception for their pastor, Rev. J.D. McFARLAND and bride on their arrival from Boston. The reception was brought to a close by a scripture reading by Rev. John CALDER of East River, Pictou, N.S., brother of the bride. (see original)
