Three men named John NEWMAN, Abner FULTON & David DUKESHIRE were arraigned at the Police Office yesterday on a charge of enticing soldiers to desert. The evidence was not sufficient to convict DUKESHIRE, and NEWMAN, who appeared to be a half-crazed individual, who had been in the battles of Bull's Run and Fair Oaks, was let go. Judgement was not given in FULTON case when we went to press.
