John G. ESTABROOKS, the popular conductor on the Boston & Maine railroad, died at his residence in Reading last week Friday noon. His disease was complication of heart trouble and dropsy. He died in his chair having been unable to lie abed for a long time. If he had lived till Monday he would have been 42 years old. He leaves a wife and two children - Fred E. ESTABROOKS and Arthur B. ESTABROOKS, having lost one child. He was born in Sackville (West. Co.) N.B., his parents being Wm M. ESTABROOKS and Eunice ESTABROOKS. He was married to Miss Araminta RICHARDSON in his native town in January 1870. He had lived in Reading about twelve years, being employed during that time by the B.& M. Railroad Co., his train being No. 125. He was a member of the Christian Union Church, a Mason and member of the Conductor Relief Assoc. - Reading Chronicle 8th May (see original for funeral)
