At noon yesterday while David TAYLOR was working in his blacksmith shop at Cushing's Mill, Union Point (St. John) he was snowballed by a number of boys. In a paroxysm of rage, Taylor threw a cant-bar at the boys. The bar struck a small boy named John MULLIN, 10 years old, on the head and fractured his skull. Mullin was not amon the boys who were throwing snowballs at Taylor. Dr. MacFarland of Fairville was called in. He said the lad will scarcely live.
