William HAYES of Chatham, whose death took place Monday about 1 p.m. was high;y respected. On Monday morn. he went to work and showed no signs of being unwell. He returned home at noon, exhibited more than usual buoyancy and ate his dinner heartily. After dinner he was seized with a violent fit of coughing and burst a blood vessel from which he died in twenty minutes. Deceased was 62 years of age and leaves a wife and ten children.
