d. At residence of her son, Anderson LEWIS, Peel (Carleton Co.) Oct. 3, Jane THOMAS widow of Benjamin THOMAS, 88th year. Deceased was a native of St. John County, having removed when quite young to Carleton Co. with her first husband, Job S. LEWIS, by whom she leaves a large circle of children, grand and great grandchildren, Sister Thomas, with ten others, was organized by Rev. David Crandall into the Rockland Baptist Church, Oct. 25, 1833. She has long since been the last surviving original member.
