Capt. Charles L. APPLEBY who died at Lubec, Me., Sept. 4th, was born at Deer Island (Charlotte Co.) N.B. Oct. 31st, 1828. His first wife was Lucy L. DUDLEY of Pembroke who died some years since. March 12th last he married Mrs. Eliza BLOOMFIELD of Lubec, a sister of his first wife who survives him. By his first wife he had two sons and two daughters, only one of whom Capt. Henry O. APPLEBY, is living. Capt. Appleby commanded vessels hailing from this port for 30 years or more. He was a member of the Eastern Lodge of Free Masons and was buried here with masonic honors. - Eastport 'Sentinel'
