Waterford (Kings Co.) Oct. 5 - Within a week five have died in Waterford: Mary GRAY, age 71, Mrs. THomas GORDON, age 77, Thomas GORDON, age 82, Jesse MYERS, age 80 and Thomas PROCTOR, age 64. Mr. and Mrs. Gordon leave behind them the following children: Samuel GORDON, who lives at home; Thos. GORDON of Gibson; John GORDON of New Gloucester, N.S.; Mrs. Wm LOVE of St. John; Mrs. WATSON of Maine and Mrs. McAULEY, St. John. Jesse Myers leaves the following children: William MYERS of N.S., Andrew MYERS, John MYERS, Jesse MYERS, Samuel MYERS and Mrs. Charles STEWART of St. John and James MYERS at home. Thomas Proctor leaves the following children: William J. PROCTOR of Long Settlement; Robert PROCTOR and Thomas PROCTOR of Sussex; James PROCTOR and Beverly PROCTOR of Bay Shore; Mrs. Frank BARDEN and Mrs. Henry CARR of Waterford. They were all present by Mrs. Barden who is nursing her husband, who was seriously hurt in the gold mine at Point Wolfe a few weeks since. The remains of the two first were buried at Chambers Settlement, services being held in the Myers Baptist meeting house at 10 o'clock. At 1 o'clock services were held in St. John's church after which the remains of Thomas Proctor were interred at Sussex. Mrs. Gordon and Mr. Myers were brother and sister and have always lived as close neighbors. Three from one family in one week.
