An inquest was held in the Portland Police (St. John) office on Saturday morn. before Coroner Rigby, on then body of an old woman named Mary McCARTHY who was found dead in her room in a miserable hovel nearly opposite the Portland Police Station. Testimonies of Samuel LECKY, Ellen DOHERTY, Nancy DOHERTY, Ellen ANDREWS, Bridget McKENNY.
