The late Edward ALLISON, whose funeral takes place today, was 73 years of age. He was born at Kentville, N.S. and after a successful business careerin Halifax, he came to St. John and continued in business for several years. He was subsequently for a long time the agent of the Liverpool & London & Globe Insurance Co. A few years ago he was candidate for the position of Mayor of St. John. He had lately resided in Halifax, at which place he died, but his remains have been brought to this city for interment.
