Chatham 'World' - While breaking a jam on Whalen Falls on the south branch of Renous River (North. Co.) a young man named HOGAN met his death by drowning. The jam broke unexpectedly and before poor Hogan had time to turn around he was precipitated into eternity. The deceased was the only remaining one of five sons, the other four having died of diptheria some time ago. He was a son of Patrick HOGAN of Renous River.
