Charlottetown, P.E.I. 'Guardian', Feb. 3 - Yesterday, about half past 12 o'clock, George DOULL of this city dropped dead in the Market hall. Mr. Doull, who is a father of Walter P. DOULL of Charlottetown, had just been chatting with one of the Salvation army officers and was walking away when he suddenly staggered and would have fallen to the floor had he not been caught in the arms of a gentleman standing near him. Mr. Doull was in his 76th year. He learned his trade in Charlottetown and moved to Bedeque. In 1872 he removed from there to Summerside where he carried on quite a large furniture manufacturing business. In 1885 he came to Charlottetown in which place he took up residence with his son, who is well known in this city. He emigrated from Wick, Caithnesshire, Scotland to this Island when he was a lad of 12 summers. Mr. Doull has sive sons away from Charlottetown, two in Amherst, N.S., two in Sackville, N.B. and one in California. (see original)
