There died 16th inst., on Moncton road, Shediac Parish (West. Co.) Capt. Sylvain BABINEAU, age 91 years 2 mos. 1 day, native of Petitcodiac, for long time captain in the militia. At one time he offered as candidate in House of Assembly, in opposition to late Amand Landry, but was not elected. He had 15 children, of whom 11 survive, 114 grandchildren and 39 great grandchildren. His second wife survives him.
