Officer Richard EVANS who has been ill for some time with typhoid fever died at his residence last night. Evans was appointed to the force in December '66 and with the exception of a few months in '75 he has been on the force ever since, left wife, four small children. Richard was a brother of Thomas EVANS who has been on the force some years.
