Joseph MERRIL, age 75 years, died suddenly at the residence of his son-in-law, John DONALD of Moncton, Monday eve. Mr. Merril for some years has been troubled with rheumatism. He was able to be around and was in his usual health Monday morn. Shortly after getting up, however, Mr. Merrill, who also had heart trouble, took a bad spell and this was followed by three more during the afternoon and eve. The fourth attack came on about 19 o'clock and the pain in his chest, of which he complained, was more severe than usual. Medical aid was summoned but Mr. Merril expired about 20:30. Deceased leaves four children. His daughters are Mrs. John DOOEY, Brewer, Me.; Mrs. John DONALD and Miss MERRIL, Moncton. The only son living is Nelson MERRIL, Moncton. Mr. Merril moved from Second Westcock to Moncton about six years ago. The remains were brought to Sackville by yesterday's noon express and interred at Westcock Cemetery by Rev. W.C. Vincent.
