On Thursday eve. 4th inst., Robert BURNS was drowned at Apple River. He had been running a small raft down the river and had moved it safely to a buoy fixed for that purpose. In endeavoring to reach the shore he is supposed to have fallen in the water between the raft and shore. Diligent search was made for the body and it was found about noon Saturday 6th inst. Deceased was formerly of Maitland, N.S. An inquest was held.
