A telegram to the 'Globe' from Bustouche (Kent Co.) announces the death by consumption at Grand Digue, this morn., of Dr. E.P. LEGERE, M.P. Dr. Legere was in his 27th year. His family came from Brittany to Acadia two centuries ago. His father was a farmer and businessman at Memramcook. Dr. Legere received a common school education, then he taught for a while, after which he took a classical course at St. Joseph's. In 1888 he took his medical degree at Detroit College of Medicine and in the same year married Miss Elise MICHAUD, niece of Rev. F. MICHAUD. When Mr. Landry was made a county Judge, Mr. Legere was elected to fill the vacancy, but he never took his seat, as Parliament was dissolved. He was again elected at the general election in 1891.
