d. 3rd inst., Sheffield (Sunbury Co.) of strangulated hernia, Jonathan BRIDGES, Esq., age 54, one of the largest farmers in the County. He professed religion some years since but did not unite with any church until about four years ago. Then in a revival he made a public profession and was baptized and joined the Baptist Church at Lakeville. He left a widow, three sons, four daughters. The funeral occasion was improved by Rev. George Howard, assisted by Rev. Joseph Barker.
