Isaac OLIVE, Esq. died at his residence at Carleton (St. John) yesterday. He had lived in Carleton 92 years. He was born here about five years after the landing of the Loyalists with whom his father, an Englishman, came to St. John from New York. Mr. Olive died of old age, but he retained all his faculties to the last, his memory and sight being unimpaired and his interest in the present being quite as active as his recollections of the past. He leaves a brother who is a few years younger than himself; and three sons, Isaac J. OLIVE who resides in Carleton; Capt. John OLIVE, who lives in Liverpool, England; and Robert OLIVE who lives in New South Wales; and one daughter, Mrs. Geo. H. LOVETT of Yarmouth, N.S. Another daughter, the wife of George THOMAS, Esq. died a very short time ago. Mr. Olive, in connection with his brother, the late William OLIVE, carried on for many years an extensive ship building and shipping business and was one of our most prominent citizens. He took a deep interest in the Wesleyan Church of which he was a member and indeed, was founder of the Carleton congregation. His funeral will take place tomorrow afternoon. - 'Globe'
