John BOURGEOIS, one of the oldest justices of peace in Westmorland Co. died at the residence of his daughter in Memramcook yesterday morn. 10 o'clock after an illness of four months. Deceased was born at Fox Creek, a few miles from Moncton on the 15th Sept. 1817 abd consequently just lacked a month of 77 years of age. He was the youngest and only surviving member of a family of 14 children, his father being Peter BOURGEOIS who was born at Windsor, N.S in 1768 and earli in life moved to this part of the country. Deceased, who was widely known and respected, had six children, three of whom are living, namely, Jos. J. BOURGEOIS, merchant of Moncton, Sister St. Marie Emmanuel of the congregation of Notre Dame, Montreal and Mrs. Thomas O. LEBLANC, Memramcook. The funeral will take place from St. Thomas Church, Memramcook, Friday morn.
