Bloomfield (Kings Co.) Oct. 25 - Miles BURNETT s/o John BURNETT and brother of E.H. BURNETT, clerk for S. Hayward & Co., was drowned here Sunday eve. and his body was found today. He left his father's residence Sunday eve. to go to Silas RAYMOND's whose farm he has been working, but never reached there. Mr. Raymond waited until today, when he started fro Mr. Burnett's to ascertain what was keeping his man away. Search was commenced and the discovery of his hat on the bank of the river led to the belief that he had been drowned. His body was found shortly afterwards a few rods down the river. He had not been very well and his friends are said to have noticed him acting peculiarly. He was a young man of about 30 years.
