James HUMBLE, the well known lumberman of Stanley (York Co.), while in the city today received a telegram from Stanley announcing the death of his father-in-law, Wm BROWN, there this morn. Mr. Brown's death was sudden and unexpected. For two months he and his team had been working in the woods for Mr. Humble. On Saturday he was seized with apoplexy and taken to his son-in-law's home, where he passed away this morn. Up to the time of his prostration he enjoyed good health. The deceased was in the 74th year of his age. He was a resident of New Maryland and leaves a wife, five sons and four daughters. Mrs. Brown was at her husband's side during his illness, having gone to Stanley about a week ago to visit her daughter. The funeral will take place in Stanley Friday afternoon.
