During the gale of Saturday and Sunday last, the barques "Ochbrook", Lawson, master and "Evening Star", Hannah, master, both belonging to Messrs. Holderness & Chilton whileriding anchor at Richibucto (Kent Co.) were driven ashoreand both became total wrecks. A boat from the "Evening Star"in endeavoring to reach the shore Sunday morn. with some ofthe crew upset and James DICK, Chief mate, Arthur DORAN,steward, John JONES, seaman and Walter FARRO, apprentice were drowned. Capt. HANNAH and the second mate passed mostof Sunday in the mizen rigging and on Monday morn. got safeashore.
