Elias WHITE who disappeared in March last was a man of middle age, widower with grown up children and the owner of a small farm in Kings Co. During the summer for ten or twelve years he had been employed by D.D. Glasier & Son and during the season of 1883, he had command of tugboat "Lincoln". During the winter he passed much of the time at his farm, though a frequent visitor of the city. While in the city it was his practice to pass a few hours at the office of Messrs Glasier & Sons. On 25th Feb., he was at the office, had a settlement with Mr. MILES and left in the hands of the firm a balance in his favor of more than $100. On the 8th or 9th March, Mr. White again left his farm and came to St. John, but as Mr. Miles had been summoned to Lincoln, he remained but a few moments. From the moment he left the office all trace ofhim is lost. Ernest WHITE and Herbert WHITE, the former a son, the latter of nephew of the missing man, were met by the reporter on Saturday.
