Joseph A. McQUEEN is a native of Westmorland Co. He is the youngest s/o Hon. Angus McQUEEN who was for 12 years a member of the provincial legislature. Born at Point de Bute Nov. 10th, 1862, the young man was educated at the public schools and Mount Allison institutions, Sackville. For eight years he carried on business as a merchant at his native place. In Feb. 1891 he was elected as a representative of his county in the legislature. Early in the present year he went into the insurance business with an office in Moncton as general agent for Confederation Life. Quite recently however he resigned that position and is now inspector for the Equitable Life Assurance Society of the U.S. for the Maritime Provinces and Nfld. On Oct. 7thm 1891, Mr. McQueen was united in marriage with Edessa CHAPMAN second d/o late M.K. CHAPMAN, Dorchester. Inspector McQueen's offices are located in the Wright's Block, Main St.
