Oliver J. LEBLANC of Kent was born at Memramcook in 1830. His forefathers, who had setted in Acadia, were expelled with their countrymen in 1755 and they afterwards took up their residence in this Province. Mr. LeBlanc is a farmer. In Nov. 1854 he was married to Olive J. CORMIER of Buctouche. He was elected first at the general election in 1882, but a protest having been fyled he resigned and was re-elected. He was successful at the general elections of 1886 and 1890 and at the by-election in 1889, when he was asking endoresement for having taken the seat in the council vacated by the resignation of Mr. Turner. A Conservative and a Catholic.
