For 3 or 4 weeks the death of Eleanor McPHERSON w/o late John McPHERSON had been hourly expected and it was not a matter of surprise when the end came at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. John ROSS with whom deceased had been staying for some time. Deceased was nearly 75 years of age and was a member of the Presbyterian church. A afmily of six sons and one daughter survive her: Thomas McPHERSON, Samuel McPHERSON and Charles McPHERSON of St. John; Joseph McPHERSON and John McPHERSON now living in Boston; Adam McPHERSON of the firm of Ross & McPherson of this town and Sarah ROSS w/o John ROSS of the before mentioned firm. The funeral took place Wednesday afternoon from her daughter's residence. Rev. J.S. Sutherland conducted the funeral service both at the house and grave, the remains being interred in the Kirk Hill Cemetery, Sussex (Kings Co.)
