It will be seen by despatches that intence heat has prevailed in Boston and New York and that a large number of lives have been lost. Among the victims was James McNAMEE, a Nova Scotian, who was striken on Sunday in South Boston. He was 40 years of age, a carpenter by trade and leaves a wife and family.
