About six months ago mention was made of a large estate left in Spain by one Joseph DeGRACE, a brother of Count DeGRACE who took such a prominent part in the seige of Yorktown, whereby the American people gained their independence. It now seems that the rumors then set afloat were not without some foundation, for one of their heirs hailing from Bathurst (Glouc. Co.) N.B., but now of Duluth, Minn., John DeGRACE has just embarked for Spain armed with the necessary proofs to show that the large fortune in question really belong to the heirs of Antoine DeGRACE who came from Spain when a young man and settled down and died in Bathurst. This same John deGrace has been quietly working up the case for some years and it would now seem as though his efforts and those of his counsel were to be crowned with success. The greater number of the heirs reside in Gloucester Co, several in Kent Co. and it is to be hoped that their most sanguine expectations will be realized.
